Apostle, Bishop, Pastor, Elder, Minister – The most important title you will have been “Servant.” God’s court matters.
By now, if you follow me, you know that this is my passion to teach. When I was growing up in church, the job of those in leadership positions was that to serve – serve in the church and serve others in the community. Church leaders were to be the most dedicated because they were authorized by those over them to serve. At the end of each worship service or inscribed on the church bulletin were the words, “Enter to worship, Depart to Serve.” The congregation was to listen to their leaders and follow their examples.
In ministry, I have met more people that I can count, who have been exposed to similar teachings.
My personal revelation of servant and servant leadership, from God, is in agreement of expectancy to serve. However, the title of servant leader is to anyone who comes to Him. Everything that we do on Earth is to the pleasure of God, therefore, it is to the service of God that we should function.
So, I desire to operate in that service by teaching and ministering to fulfil a need. If you have a need to eat and I provide you a toy – what have I done in serving you?
Jesus came because we had a NEED – to be saved. It is out of NEED that he SERVED. If we are not serving the NEED(s) of people, we are not on God’s agenda. The hierarchy of needs consist of both physical and spiritual.
There is an appointed time of judgment and God’s court matters. God will NOT ask about earthly titles. There will be order in His court. He will judge on His merits. In His court, only the title of Servant will matter.
Matthew 25:21 “ His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
