Well…
Some days are weary; life is filled with ups and downs; Job (Job 24:1-12; 22-25) found that his complaint was not valid in the eyes of the Lord; for God gives and God takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord. When I think about it, I really do not have a reason to complain. So, in all things, give God praise.
Well….#OneDayatATime
This is the day that the Lord has made and I choose to rejoice in it. The songwriter wrote, “I don’t worry about tomorrow, I live from day to day; Many things I do not know about tomorrow but, I know who holds my hand.”
Well…
The Word of the Lord says, “Be anxious for nothing.” Yes, I do show concern about my tomorrow and I am learning to trust God to take care of my tomorrow. So, I do plan for my family with this in mind (and that is not wrong). With that in mind, “Father, I stretch my hands to You, to give me this day our daily bread.”
Well…
Jesus taught, “Give us this day our daily bread.” This day is paramount to us. It is this day that we must be fed.
Jesus, You also said, “Choose this day who you will serve.”
“I have need of You in my service. How do I serve you, Lord, on this day? Your Holy Spirit is warranted to show me how to love on this day. If tomorrow will take care of itself, then how do we love and honor You today? If I am to be anxious for nothing, then show me how to go forth today.”
“What is Your Word for this day?”
“I woke up with new mercy from You for this day. I am thankful for Your new mercy for this day. Speak to my heart, my spirit man; I command my inner and outer parts align themselves to Your Will. Oh, heart, be still; spirit man, hold up and know what God desires. Eyes, listen and observe; ears, tune in to what God is saying. Hands, whatever you find to do, do it according to the Lord. Mouth, be encouraging and inspirational this day. Let not my heart be troubled; mind, lean not to my own understanding; feet, stay in order.”
For in that day, I hope, Dear God, You will say of me, that You know me. I fed You daily bread; You ate daily from the table that I set before you. Now, on this day, enter into your eternal rest and receive a just reward.
