Love and Truth

This might be a hard truth for you. But, day in and day out, we ARE a reminder of God’s promise, love, humility, grace and mercy. God is love and if you abide in Him then His love will show. Hard to believe that? Well, I share with you that the devil has and continues to be mad about the fact that God loves you. Why? Because you are the creation of His love. Satan is angry. That is Satan’s problem. You have the free will to make it not your problem.

“You are of God, dear children, and can overcome the world, because He who is in you is greater than he (the devil) who is in the world (1 John 4:4 NIV).  Those who love God, overcomes this world.  This is the makeup of God. He desires to show you how to be the overcomer. He says you are in the world, but you are not destined to fall but live; you are destined to overcome the hardships of this world.  Why?  Because God has promised that He will never leave or forsake you.

Building through Love – In Spite of

I get it. I hear you. I acknowledge hardships. But there are so many joys and blessings that we do not have to miss.

Unconditional love is hard. Yet, He tells us to love one another.  Unconditional love is not fleshly. It is spiritual. It is impossible to have the unconditional love that God has without Him in our lives. First, you have to love God for God is love.

It is learning through Him and allowing Him to lead.

His love requires fellowship. He is about building a relationship with Him. Unconditional love consists of a reconstruction of who we need to be. We build up and outwardly as He teaches us. We should become better at showing mercy and grace toward others. It is kind (1 Corinthians:13). It is the Spirit of God that teaches how to love thy neighbor as yourself. Only God can process you through the reconstruction of love.

Yes… It is hard!

I hear you. In this world, when you see suffering and evil, hear of suffering and evil, and feel suffering, I know it is difficult. But be reminded that suffering is a reminder to us that Christ suffered.  He was innocent; yet he suffered pain for all of us who were guilty. This innocent Christ suffered for all because all are guilty.

What Christ wants us to know is although we may carry scars from our suffering from our wounds…we do not have to carry the weight of those wounds. His suffering on the cross has led to our having an eternal reward for those who believe in Him.

I know you have marveled at people who through tragedy, speak of an inner peace. It may sound puzzling, and it might look unbelievable. What is wrong with these people! Well, I admit that they are peculiar. They acknowledge that it is hard going through it. But they found an inner peace that was purchased through Christ.

We can be healed from our wounds. He invites us to cast all our cares on Him who is willing and able to carry them. He is the balm in Gilead. If Christ, himself, suffered, then we who are not innocent, will suffer too.  Now we have an advocate who is willing to heal us from those broken pieces, from our wounds, so we can be at peace in Him. His promise is not slack. God will show the blessing that is for us from Him. God shows His faithfulness toward us every day.
