Less than five minutes reading of support for you
Having an identity crisis? No! We do not have an identity crisis. I speak this to true believers who believe in the principles of a spiritual life for your leadership. This blog is to encourage and remind you as to who you are. The world does not define you. Rather, your definition is God-defined. The fact is that we must say it out loud. Be persistent in your daily life. Believe in your heart the Word of Truth which has set you free. Speak “I do not have an identity crisis!”

As God’s Partners
First, remember you have a gift. The gift of Jesus Christ in your life makes the difference. Do not accept this gift of kindness and a new life then ignore it (2 Corinthians 6:1). God’s gift of kindness must work outwardly to serve others. We are partners to him. That means we are accountable to show a new life given to us through Jesus Christ. We are to reciprocate his mercy and kindness as part of our partnership with him.
The Gift of New Birth
Second, this gift is to all who believe. We went through the process of acknowledging and accepting Jesus the Christ as our Savior. Now, we have the confidence in knowing that God is not just our Creator. He is Abba (Romans 8:15). Our differences between the Creator and us (as sinners) no longer exist. Even the more, the acceptance of this gift brings reconciliation. We are to reconcile with those that we can, especially who are believers.
As the Body of Christ
Third, as part of the body of Christ, we are many members. Each of us has special gifts to grow our kingdom family. Allow people to grow as God wants – not as what we want. You can identify and agree with their growth through prayer. God’s Holy Spirit lives within each of us to guide and teach us. The Holy Spirit knows what the “Will” of God is. Therefore, allow the Spirit to take the lead for sustained growth. In this way, we will please the Father.
Weeding and Growing
Yes, it is true that not everyone who claims to be a member of the body of Christ is a member of the body of Christ. Physical birth does not make anyone a spiritual member of God’s kingdom (Romans 9:6-13). God knows his sheep’s voice. He will reveal in his own way. He is not confused or caught off guard by impersonators. We seek him for wisdom and discernment to remain vigilant.
New Covenant – New Way
Fourth, we are in a covenant relationship with God. It is two-sided. Our lives changed (2 Corinthians 3:1-3). We have hope because of his promises. At one time, we did not have hope because we did not believe. Now, we are a reflection of his glory on earth. This is his goodness toward us. When crisis occurs, he is there. The Holy Spirit speaks truth to us. He does not lie. Listen for his voice and be patient. Jesus intercedes to the Father on our behalf. We know that God chooses to give us mercy; he chooses to save us.
Principle of Life
You want to do what is right. We strive to live by God’s principles. These principles in Matthew 5 (Be Attitudes) were taught by Jesus in his sermon on Mount Olives. Summarily, two commandments of love sum up these principles. The first commandment is to love God with all your heart. The second is to love your neighbor as you want to be treated.
Because of His love, we are saved by God’s grace. The scriptures remind us that not everyone will accept this identity. Most will refuse to believe in Jesus Christ and his works. For God knows his people in advance and he chooses them to become like his Son Jesus. Yet for those who choose Jesus, even now, he intercedes for us. We are his brothers and sisters. God has given us the right to fellowship with him. This is what it means to have a new life in the midst of this world. “I speak, I know who I am. I know my Father.”
