This blog about the battle between birds and beasts. It is a reminder of small animals can move mightily. Have you not seen the work of an ant?
As a part of the servants’ community, we must look for ways to encourage one another. In this example, I have the honor of sharing some of that wisdom from my fraternal and maternal grandmothers. This is one of those stories. While I cannot tell stories as they did, I hope the message of “Size Does Not Determine Strength” from African folklore will give you inspiration on your journey.
In all, remember the scriptures that will reinforce perseverance. Such as, 2 Corinthians 4:8-10 NIV, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”
Like the fouls of the air, land, or sea, we are NOT burden-free. Delight yourself in the story of the ancient birds, who realized that life is burdensome; however, well-prepared for quarrelsome, burdensome seasons, can lead to success. Are we as smart as the birds?
