Lest we forget in this season – God’s Promise is not slack.
God is awesome. He is love. His mercy is an awesome reminder of that love. This is a hard truth for unbelievers. However, for those who believe, it is a reminder of how great and merciful he is. Today, you ARE a reminder of God’s promise, love, humility, grace and mercy. You are reminder of His love and that love abides in you. Yes, if you abide in Him then you see his love everywhere. If you look with the lens of more than enough, you see his mercy in action. You know that you are more than a conqueror through God.
The Awesome You – A Reminder of Love
The air you breathe is a simple but important reminder of Him. You can’t see it, but you take it in and breathe it out every second. Hence, every second, God expresses intimate and incredible love towards all of us. Yes, there is an awesomeness about you. It is the uniqueness that God gives to all. Contrast this gift. There is not another person in this universe like you. To God, your beauty is an example of his creation. Your choice to flow in love is yours and yours alone. You are meant to be a light in darkness. Do you see your awesomeness?
Fear of Your Awesomeness
The enemy is fearful. He is angry because you are so loved by God. But that is his problem. Today, you have the free will to live your best life, glowing in that love. Just look around! Take an inventory. Take stock of who you are. His Holy Spirit lives in you. It is not your imagination. You do what is right. Even your mistakes make you sorrowful. That is his Spirit controlling you. No wonder the enemy fears you! Indeed, the Spirit of God wants to order your very steps! Today, you stand and move ahead!
A Reminder of Love and Mercy
This is your newsflash! This is a reminder of those who love God, overcomes this world. This morning God gave you new mercy for a brand new day. It is no wonder that the enemy is angry. He does not have that gift. So, to all who believe, “You are of God, dear children. You can overcome the world. He who is in you is greater than he (the devil) who is in the world (1 John 4:4 NIV).”
I am excited for you. There is no greater love than God. Psalms 91 reminds us of this. God will send his angels to keep us from falling (Psalm 91:11). WOW! What a successful destination you have! Why? Because God promises that He will never leave or forsake us is true.
Faith that Works
Yes, I get it. I hear and acknowledge that life is filled with hardships. Truly, I know that in this world we see suffering and evil, and hear of suffering and evil, it is difficult. Absolutely, I know it is challenging. But be reminded that suffering is a reminder to us that Christ suffered. He was innocent. Yet, he suffered pain for all of us. Our innocent Christ suffered for all because all are guilty. Still, do not forget. There are so many joys and blessings. More than that, our faith is not built on our perfection. It is based on God’s faithfulness. You can count on God’s unconditional love and faithfulness. Faith that works. Stand firm on your faith in God. Stand firm in a love that bears all things.
A Reminder of Fellowship and Love
So, today, we can have joy in our fellowship with God. When you love someone, you want to fellowship. That is how you get to know the person better. What happens because of this fellowship? First, spending time with him today blesses the fellowship. Second, you get to know more about his unconditional love. Third, you build up and outwardly as He teaches you. Fourth, you become better at showing mercy and grace toward others. You experience kindness, joy, peace, and love (1 Corinthians:13). Even still, the Spirit of God will guide us in forming relationships that enhance you. He aids you as you learn to love others as yourself. For only God can develop you through the reconstruction of love.
Unbelievable Faith – Glory in Love
I know you have marveled at people who through tragedy, speak of an inner peace. It sounds puzzling, and it looks unbelievable. What is wrong with these people! Well, I admit that they are peculiar. They acknowledge that it is hard going through it. But they found an inner peace that was purchased through Christ.
We can be healed from our wounds. He invites us to cast all our cares on Him who is willing and capable to carry them. He is the balm in Gilead. If Christ, himself, suffered, then we who are not innocent, will suffer too. Now we have an advocate. He is willing to heal us from those broken pieces and from our wounds. Through Him, we can be at peace. His promise is not slack. God will show the blessing that is for us from Him. God shows His faithfulness toward us every day. What an awesome love!
Healed by Love – A Reminder
Finally, Christ wants us to know something important. You are in great company. Although we carry scars from our suffering, we do not have to carry the weight of those wounds. His suffering on the cross has led to our having an eternal reward for those who believe in Him.
